As an apprentice for elephant journal, I increased my knowledge in Social Media, Journalism, Writing and Editing.

EJ certificateFour time consuming months of hard work, enjoyment, patience, and fun while working ten hour shifts, new job, new home and a move across the country. Talk about having my fill. I learned more about social media than I may ever use and as a page admin on Wow of the day  I increased its page likes by over 300%.

I was able to accomplish this through consistent posting that probably drove my friends wacky. My strategy included setting a schedule, being persistent and overcoming any roadblocks that appeared. Dedication to doing the best I could at that moment in time.

I researched and completed a journalism project about the ethics of a memoirist. Interesting information on the perspectives of all involved.

Writing of course was fun, and challenged me to learn how to write from a me perspective to a we/us.

Editing has always been a favorite of mine. It is so much easier to see what doesn’t make sense of work written by someone else.

Thank you to all who stuck in there and helped me through this process. Something I will always be proud of accomplishing.

Check back later for in depth explanations of each piece of the apprenticeship program and what I learned and how I applied it to real life.
